Coordination of treasury decisions, execution, monitoring, and reporting is cumbersome and time intensive. Yet a well-managed treasury is crucial to the long-term success of an organization.
To comprehensively run a treasury today, organizations have to build up in-house fluency in asset and risk management, as well as the related technical skill. These skill sets are not presently available in-house for Web3 organizations and DAOs.
Building them up requires additional resources and distracts the core team away from shipping their products. Additionally, taking a treasury management function in-house means exposure to operational, financial, and community risks in handling capital movement.
